Cats and dogs accompanying passenger may enter without import license. Must hold rabies inoculation certificate and good health certificate, dated no earlier than 3 days before travel commenced and issued by health authorities at point of origin.

Health certificate must indicate that no contagious disease (including rabies) has existed in that territory during the previous 6 weeks. An import license is required in addition to above certificates for cats and dogs not accompanying passenger, and for all other pets. Exempt are: animals originating from the following countries: Benin (Rep.), Burkina Faso, Central African Rep., Chad, Congo (Brazzaville), France, Gabon, Madagascar (Dem. Rep.), Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal - certificates as in a. above are sufficient.

Cats and dogs accompanying a passenger may enter without an import permit. However, all animals must be accompanied by a health certificate and a rabies inoculation certificate dated not earlier than 3 days before the trip commenced and issued by the health authorities in the country of origin. The health certificate must state that the animal does not carry any contagious diseases and that no contagious diseases have existed in the territory during the previous 6 weeks. The animal should be free from mange for at least 6 months.

An import license is required in addition for dogs and cats not accompanying passengers, and for all other pets.

Cote d'Ivoire is a country in West Africa. The government officially discourages the use of the name Ivory Coast in English, preferring the French name Côte d'Ivoire to be used in all languages. With an area of 322,462 km2 Côte d'Ivoire borders Liberia and Guinea to the west, Mali and Burkina Faso to the north, Ghana to the east, and the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
