Cats, dogs and birds, provided:

1. accompanied by:

- a written declaration of the owner stating that the animals have been in his/her possession for at least 90 days prior to arrival in Israel;

- a health certificate issued by a government veterinary officer in the country of origin within 7 days prior to export, stating that the animals were examined and found healthy and free from infectious and contagious diseases.

The veterinary health certificate must also state that the cat/dog was vaccinated against rabies, not more than a year and not less than a month prior to arrival in Israel.

If arriving from Cyprus, Oceania or United Kingdom a vaccination against rabies is required within 5 days after arrival.

Details of the pet must be notified to the office of the Veterinary Services, Beit-Dagan, fax number 972-3-9688963 at least 48 hours prior to arrival.

2. max. 2 of each type are imported.

Veterinary import permit issued by the Director of Veterinary Services if:

- more than 2 of each type are imported at a time; or

- arriving unaccompanied by their guardian.

Quarantine for approx. 8 days in case of non-compliance with the veterinary requirements or suspicion of disease or if import permit is required.

Refusal or destruction in case the animal(s) arrive(s) without the documents required.

Prohibited: Dogs and cats under the age of 3 months.
